Road Trippin'

As some of you may or may not know about a week and a half ago I went up to Boston for a visit. My friend Sam and I then flew to Kansas on Mother's Day and drove her car all the way back to Boston. It was an awesome time and I have a lot of great pictures...

Back Bay Fens. Gorgeous Trees.

I got to see Mom even if only for a couple of hours.

First Stop... Indianapolis. The hotel clerk gave us a great room with a view.

Sam in downtown Indy.

Then onto Buffalo, NY. I don't recommend it.

Then randomly we saw a sign for Palmyra and had to check it out.

Sam rediscovers her favorite childhood plant. Elephant leaves of some sort.

So do I.

We like this grove. Let's get to Boston already.

We made it. 21 hours total. Broken up into a 3 day adventure. One speeding ticket (Ohio) Sam was driving, maybe some toll tickets coming our way (we forgot we needed cash for tolls in MA so EZpass lane illegally... ha. oops.)

Chipotle

Today Audrey and I were leaving Gymboree and she looks at me and says, "we going to chipotle now." How can I say no to that? So we went and she looked so cute eating guacamole and chips. I love that we both love Chipotle.

Quote of the day

So sorry i haven't posted in a while, but I've been busy with work and school and blah blah blah. Anyways, I'm reading this book, What Dreams May Come, and I came across a line I really liked. It says, "That which you believe becomes your world." I agree. Boring post? Maybe. Thought provoking? I hope so.

IHOP

I always tell myself IHOP sounds like a good idea, but then always ends up being a bad call.
Well, last night Kara and I thought it was a good idea. It was cold, and she claimed they had good hot chocolate. That is a fact. IHOP does have good hot chocolate. Unfortunately, we ordered food to go along with it. Bad call. Halfway through our meals we were seriously grossed out and just wanted to get out of there. However, we did manage to squeeze in a little photo session.

Good friends = Good times

My friends Rene and David are visiting Virginia this week for their spring break. They decided to plan a day trip up to DC and so they asked me to show them around. However, I haven't really made time to explore the city so I may not have been the best tour guide. We had a lot of fun though, we saw the white house and enjoyed the museum of Natural History among other things. Here are pictures.

Aerobics Class

I'm pretty much furious about the grade I got on my first fitness contract for my aerobics class! First off, the class is a one credit course... it should be no big deal, right? WRRRONG! I got my first report back last night (a three week fitness contract,) and the teacher gave me a 5 out of 15. That's an F! SO, I looked at her comments on my summarizing and she claims, "I need more than one sentence explanations. Under each category I have at LEAST three sentences! Another example, I wrote that I used to only be able to do like 5 pushups and now I can do about 25 consecutively. So, the sentence after that claims I felt like I was getting stronger. She writes in the margins "how do you know you are getting stronger?" DUDE, I just wrote I only used to be able to do 5 pushups and now I can do like 25. I THINK THAT'S HOW I KNOW I AM GETTING STRONGER! I've got to fight this one. I'm going to her office and having a little talk. I deserve at least 10 out of 15. 5 points would be acceptable if I didn't even write explanations. UGGGHHHH!

O YEAH! One more thing, I wrote that for my warmup I would walk up to the clubhouse. It's a significant incline blah, blah, blah, and she wrote "I know the area, it's no big deal." SO, I asked her oh, how do you know the area? How do you know where I live? She then proceded to tell me about somewhere she used to live called Quiet Harbor, and I told her that's not where I lived... and she goes, well it's basically the same!!! What?!?! That doesn't even make sense. She just assumed she knew what I was talking about, and therefore counted me off because of her own misconceptions. I should say something right? Don't answer that. I know it's only 15 points, but she seriously misgraded me, and I'm going to discuss it with her.
